Life Actuarial Solutions Lead (80-100%)

136144

Unique Selling Proposition

Do you want to shape the applications that Life actuaries across Zurich rely on every quarter for reporting and analysis purpose? Do you enjoy turning local business needs into global solutions? Join our Group Actuarial Systems team and take ownership of our Life actuarial reporting and analytics application landscape supporting IFRS and local GAAP reporting, regulatory (e.g. SST) and management reporting, forecasting, planning and scenario analysis.

In this role, you will be the link between Life actuaries in our business units, Group and the teams who build and support the solutions. You will shape the roadmap, deliver through our actuarial support team in Bratislava and our IT delivery team in Barcelona, and look beyond what users ask for — spotting opportunities in AI, automation and agentic workflows, working closely with our Data Scientist. Guided by our values of forward-thinking, togetherness and results orientation, you will help make actuarial reporting simpler and smarter across the Group.

What you will do

  • Own the Life actuarial reporting and analytics application landscape end-to-end, from business requirements through delivery to BAU support and enhancements.
  • Partner with Life actuarial teams across business units to understand their processes, resolve business issues and support them through reporting cycles.
  • Generalise local requirements into global, reusable solutions rather than bespoke builds, owning and prioritising the Life reporting applications roadmap.
  • Deliver through others, steering our actuarial support team in Bratislava and IT delivery team in Barcelona.
  • Identify enhancement opportunities beyond user requests, including AI-enabled features, automation and agentic workflows.

What you bring

  • Qualified actuary with 10+ years' experience in Life actuarial roles, ideally in financial reporting, actuarial valuation or regulatory reporting.
  • Track record of delivering through distributed, cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholders across functions and markets.
  • Ability to abstract local needs into global, scalable solutions and to challenge bespoke thinking.
  • Interest in technology and a forward-thinking view on AI, automation and process improvement.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills in English, with a collaborative, cross-cultural approach.
